Caitlin Cavanaugh

Caitlin officially joined the team in April 2020, but her journey working in the family business with her grandmother, Loretta, and her Aunt Juliet started many years ago when she was just a kid.  She treasured the days she was able to work alongside the original ‘Boss Lady’ and learn how to use a copier, send faxes, file documents and alphabetize folding maps.  Yes, that’s right, paper maps!  Long before the days of GPS technology, Loretta amassed an incredible map collection, one for every single town in the state, and Caitlin had the very important task of keeping those in alphabetical order.  A job she took very seriously!  She continued working at Cavanaugh & Company throughout high school and on summer breaks in college, gradually increasing her knowledge of the real estate industry.

After graduating with honors from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration, Caitlin spent the next 10 years building a rewarding career at a global corporate recruiting firm where she earned several promotions and awards including the Outstanding Achievement Award for Connecticut, Strategic Delivery Team of the Year and numerous Best of Staffing accolades.

After a successful corporate career, Caitlin decided it was time for a new challenge and jumped feet first back into the family business.  Her past experience in recruiting, sales and negotiating coupled with working with diverse groups of clientele has helped her to build a budding career in real estate.  She loves working alongside her aunt and brings innovative ideas and a fresh perspective to Team CavCo.  She aspires to one day carry on the Cavanaugh & Company legacy that her grandmother started over 40 years ago.

Caitlin resides in Middletown and enjoys spending time with family and friends over a good meal, an even better glass of wine all while creating the best memories.  She enjoys yoga, traveling, and watching her beloved New York Giants.
